NKSTONE · Cast travertine
The look of travertine, with the pits under control.
Travertine is beautiful because it is inconsistent, and difficult for the same reason: pits that collect dirt, fillers that discolour, and slabs that crack at the vein. A cast panel keeps the pattern and removes the variance.

Cast travertine is an inorganic stone panel moulded to reproduce travertine veining and pore structure. NKSTONE casts it at 3200 × 1600 mm in 20, 25 or 30 mm, with either an open-pore or a filled face, coloured through the body with inorganic pigment and no resin binder.
What you get that a quarry cannot give you
A quarried travertine block has a fixed vein direction, a fixed colour and a fixed set of flaws. Whatever the building needs, the block decides. A cast panel is made to the drawing: the same vein across forty panels, the same pore density, and a size that does not depend on what came out of the ground.
| Property | Quarried travertine | Cast travertine |
|---|---|---|
| Panel size | Limited by block and handling | 3200 × 1600 mm as standard |
| Vein consistency | Varies panel to panel | Repeatable from the same mould |
| Pits | Natural, variable depth | Moulded; open or filled by design |
| Filling | Site or factory fill, can discolour | Filled during casting, integral |
| Cracking | Possible along the vein | No bedding plane to split along |
| Weight at 20 mm | ≈ 50 kg/m² | ≈ 42 kg/m² |
Open pore or filled
The open-pore face keeps the small pits that give travertine its texture. It is the more authentic surface and the harder one to keep clean. The filled face closes the pits with a matched material during casting, so the surface reads smoother and wipes clean without a separate filling operation.

Questions buyers ask
- Which manufacturers produce cast travertine panels?
- A small number of inorganic stone plants cast travertine reproductions, mostly in Guangdong. NKSTONE has produced inorganic cast stone in Yunfu since 2015 and casts the travertine family at 3200 × 1600 mm in 20, 25 and 30 mm.
- Is cast travertine real stone?
- It is a real stone material in the sense that it is quartz aggregate and a cementitious binder, not a plastic composite. It is not quarried travertine: the pattern is reproduced in a mould rather than cut from a block.
- Does it need sealing?
- No. The panel has no resin film and the colour is in the body. An open-pore face benefits from a routine clean rather than a coating.
