Roma is the one that reads warm at night.
In a lobby that is used after dark, a white travertine can go grey. Roma holds its warmth under artificial light.
Roma is a warm sand-coloured cast travertine with stronger banding than Chao Bai Dong, produced at 3200 × 1600 mm in 20, 25 or 30 mm and available in open-pore or filled faces. It suits hospitality interiors and feature walls under warm lighting.
Where the warmth comes from
A sand base with slightly higher contrast in the banding. Under the 2700–3000 K lighting used in most hotel lobbies it reads golden; under cool daylight it reads more neutral. That behaviour is why hospitality projects specify it and residential projects often do not.
Layout matters more with strong banding
The stronger the banding, the more the joints interrupt it. On Roma, either run the panels horizontally so the bands continue, or use the banding deliberately as a horizontal composition. Cutting it into a stack-bond of small modules destroys the effect.
